This whole home remodel in Henderson, NV, consisted of multiple projects, including a full kitchen, remodel, custom bar, master bathroom remodel, guest bath, office, and a casita bathroom remodel.
Kitchen
In the kitchen, custom demo work was required to remove a 20′ wall and bring the island to a single-level plane while extending it for additional countertop space, including room for a stainless steel farmhouse sink and icemaker. A unique granite slab (Volcano) was used to book match the slabs and provide the custom waterfall effect.
The cabinets throughout the kitchen are hickory with a Rockport finish provided by Showplace Cabinetry. Here we installed stacked cabinetry with a ceiling-high second set with interior lighting. The flooring used to complete the look is a grey 24″ x24″ tile that matches the coloring of the cabinets for a cohesive custom feel.
Bar
Showplace cabinetry matched the kitchen installation, as this custom feature sits in the great connected room. Matching Quartzite countertops and backsplash are accented by custom backlighting. This feature has stemware holders, wine storage, and a wine cooler with extra storage cabinets with lighting.
Main Bathroom
One of the magnificent showpieces of this project is the Main Bathroom renovation. The fully enclosed custom shower and steam room installation has seven shower heads, including a handheld and particular Kohler ceiling shower head to imitate rainfall called Real Rain. To manage the custom needs of this installation, we installed Kohler’s Digital Valving, controlled by the panel inside the shower or smartphone app, along with a full-width linear drain. The freestanding tub has a custom ceiling faucet controlled by the shower panel or smartphone app directly under a custom lighting fixture for visual appeal. Heated marble flooring, heated towel bars, and floating cabinets finished this project with LED vanity mirrors.
Casita Bathroom
The owner wanted a Newport theme for the guest house area. The design team used the furniture, multi-colored natural wood luxury vinyl flooring, and specialized shower style to provide a beach-style feel to the site. A long subway tile and multicolor blue penny round were used for flooring and shampoo recess accents for the shower.
Guest Bathroom
One of our favorite and more challenging bathroom redesign projects included a custom 24″ x24″ black tile with gold strips inlaid inside the tile that matched the bathroom accents and fixtures. The design and placement were vital to accomplishing the custom luxury effect while maintaining balance and visual appeal.
The curbless shower has a single black-trimmed glass panel that extends to the ceiling and is completed with black penny round flooring. Rohl brushed gold fixtures was used throughout the bathroom, with custom sink faucets extending from the wall into a square black vessel sink.
Showplace provided beautiful walnut cabinets to finish the design and provide a warm, comfortable feel to the interior.
