This client needed their primary bath converted into a wheelchair-accessible space. We reframed their doorway, enlarging it to 36”. A pony wall was built for their new, curbless, roll-in shower, in which they went with white acrylic shower panels. A foldable shower seat and multiple grab bars were installed for safety. The shower is enclosed with a custom 3/8th inch fixed glass panel and door, making it more accessible and easier to roll in. Custom-made ADA cabinets from Elegant Stone were used for the vanity area, with One Quartz Niagra for the countertop. We removed the original light fixture and upgraded it. The medicine cabinet was upgraded to a triple-door Pegasus cabinet, which completes this converted wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
