This whole home remodel in Henderson, NV, consisted of multiple projects, including a full kitchen remodel, master bathroom remodel, and additional bathroom and laundry room remodel.
Kitchen
We began with a complete demo of the current kitchen for this transformation and kept the original layout as a blank canvas. This project aimed to maintain a classic white appearance with black accents to match the rest of the home’s interior. The cabinetry used the Solid brand line of shaker cabinets with a quartz countertop called Delaterra absolute white. The sink is a custom white apron farm sink, and to continue the aesthetic, we used two black pendant lights and a black kitchen faucet, along with a black pot filler underneath an inset hood on the stove. Luxury vinyl flooring helped soften the interior for a welcoming atmosphere.
Upstairs Bathroom
This bathroom required a demo to begin work that consisted of removing a wall that divided the toilet and shower from the vanity, with a complete electrical and plumbing rework. Once removed, we had a larger space to work with, providing a more open feel to the area. The original bathroom had two sinks replaced with a more oversized sink. Removing the wall and sink provided more counter space and linen cabinet area, as shown by Showplace cabinetry. Marazzi concrete style flooring combined with hexagon-shaped tiling for the shower made a nice contrast from the white cabinets and countertops. Black accents were used on the mirror frame with matching Delta RM matte black fixtures.
Master Bathroom
A full demo was required to provide the new space needed to accomplish the homeowner’s vision. Sinks were moved to provide space for a makeup area with additional cabinet storage and a linen cabinet. A more modern freestanding tub replaced a traditional drop-in tub and shower with a matte black faucet fixture. The shower wall used a matte white product from Arizona Tile (Concerto) laid in a beautiful herringbone pattern to give the space a luxurious feel. In the shower, we installed a matte black linear drain to match the other features throughout the room. Kohler’s digital valving installation was required to operate the shower heads via remote control, with the main feature being Kohler’s 8-inch rain-style showerhead. This bathroom also features an installation of a special exhaust fan by Panasonic for state-of-the-art quiet sound and prevention of accumulation of excessive moisture and air-borne contaminants. Showplace cabinets provided the extra white shaker cabinets that matched the white countertops, finished with additional matte black hardware and the tile flooring by Marazzi.
Laundry Room
Additional storage space was added by installing cabinetry above the washer and dryer, and the flooring was upgraded with a 10-inch hexagon tile to match the rest of the new interior design. What makes this installation unique is the white grout used for the reverse accent. We used premium grout here (and all tile work) with dirt blockers to protect the coloring over time.
Guest Bathroom
In this first-floor bathroom, we used the same tile installed in the laundry room. Solid cabinetry, white countertops, and Delta black fixtures match the look and feel of the kitchen with a subway tile and reverse black grout used in the shower for a unique and visually appealing accent design. The flooring is a black hexagonal tile with black grout to oppose the overall white finish of the room and provide a color scheme that has become one of our most popular projects.
