This main bathroom went through a large transformation to give our clients their ideal bathroom. We removed the original apron tub and stall shower and built a large walk-in shower. The wall housing the shower plumbing was framed to the ceiling, giving us the third wall for their shower. The shower walls were tiled to the ceiling using MSI Cemento Gray 12×24 tiles. For the shower floor, they chose to Build Affinity Gotham Black Hex in a matte finish, and for the accent strip, they chose Imagery White Horse Glass, which was also used in the shower niche. For their shower enclosure, they chose a custom, 3/8th inch thick glass enclosure with brushed nickel hardware. New brushed nickel Kohler Alteo fixtures were installed in their new walk-in. We refinished their existing vanity and new custom linen closet with a Showplace Peppercorn stain and installed new custom handles. For their new countertops, they chose MSI Statuary Classique, which helped offset the darkness of the cabinetry. The most dramatic change in this main bathroom was the flooring. The original green carpet was removed and replaced with Floor and Décor Adessi Florentina Gray tiles. Since the originals were in excellent condition, we reinstalled their mirrors, medicine cabinet, and unique light fixtures.
