The original layout of this Spring Valley Master bathroom had a lot of unused space, so our clients chose to remodel their bathroom by maximizing the space and making it more functional for their family. The interior of their master bathroom was demolished, allowing us to build them their ideal bathroom from scratch. To prep for their new Schluter Ditra heated floors, the existing flooring and baseboards were removed. For an elegant look, the soffits and glass blocks above the vanities were removed, which helps the space appear larger. For cohesive wet areas, Arizona Tile Savannah Honey 6”x 24” tile was used for their back shower wall and the wall behind their new Kohler Veil freestanding tub. MSI Sande Matte Ivory 12” x 24” tile was used for the remaining shower and tub walls. For their shower floor and tub floor surrounds, Arizona Tile Pietra Italia Black 12”x24” tile was used, with the 2”x2” mosaic format for their new Sauna Fin floor. Their tub floor surrounds were filled with Polished Black 2-3” round pebbles.
Their new Toto Neorest toilet was relocated and is now located within a new water closet, in which they chose Emser Kudos Indigo Wave 16”x47” tile for their accent wall. For their shower fixtures and vessel faucets, they chose Axor Stark Organic Chrome fixtures, and for their tub filler, they chose a ceiling-mounted Kohler Laminar tub spout in Chrome. For their enclosures, they chose an Enduroshield coated custom 3/8th inch thick clear glass frameless shower door enclosure for their shower, a custom ½-inch thick clear glass frameless sauna door for their sauna, and a frosted 3/8th inch thick glass door for their water closet, all with matching chrome hardware. Their double French Doors were removed and replaced with a single exterior door, giving us enough wall space to install their new floating Showplace EVO Oak Straight Grain Cognac vanities.
To bring out the brown in the shower wall tile, Arizona Tile Fantasy Brown Satin marble was chosen for their new countertops, pony wall, and curb caps, and also for their bench seat. To match their new tub, they chose white Kohler Veil vessel sinks. We installed our client’s custom light fixtures, and for a sleek look, their oversized mirrors were replaced with multiple recessed Tri-View Krugg Medicine Cabinets. To match with their new shower and sauna flooring, 24”x 48” Arizona Tile Pietra Italia Black tile was chosen for their new bathroom flooring, equipped with Schluter Ditra Heat system for heated floors year-round.
